Dear Chariman Gould

Since you have ignored my question in private conversation, I figured I’d ask you publicly.  Maybe then you can answer the people why you have chosen to silence their voice.

First off let me introduce myself, I am Sarah Hall.  I am the former webmaster of the Mohave County Republican Central Committee.  I took over the website in 2009 after it had sat for many years with little to no activity what-so-ever.  For the past 2 years I have maintained it, kept it up to date, done newsletters, created interactive web blogs, among many other things including a facebook page for the Republican Party.  I was treated with nothing but respect from the prior board, but then 2011 came along and a change in leadership came with it.  Not even a month into your chairmanship Mr. Gould and I already feel like you want me to be nothing more than your puppet.

You emailed me and you dictated to me that I needed to do the following if I wished to remain the webmaster:

1) Remove the blog page from the website.

 2) The question of the week needs to be approved by me before it is posted on the website.

 3) Any additional links will need to be approved by me.

Now the problem I had the most concern with was issue number 1.  The original intent behind the blog on the website is to simply get people involved.  People sign up and are approved for access and then are granted permission to write blogs which are being monitored.  It gets people’s voices heard, opinions shared, and ideas are generated, yet here comes a new Chairman dictating to me that he has a problem with that.  And I asked you why?  Why do you have such a problem with having a blog on the website?  Why do you want to silence the voice of the people?

I asked you that and you never replied.  So this is now me making it public – why?  Why are you trying to silence the voice of the people?  If you can’t answer me that question at least answer EVERY other constituent who WILL ask you the exact same question.

As for the other two requests you made, again, I am not your puppet.

Sarah Hall

QofTheD - September 13th, 2010

Can't gaurantee I'll do this EVERY day! Probably won't but hey once in a while I like to do my Question of the Days! : )

Over the past 10 years if you could identify one defining moment what would that be?

That's easy - September 11th, 2001!

I don't care who you are or where you were on that day - it's a day we will NEVER forget! I know I was a freshman in high school on that day and it's like it was the day the world stood still. We didn't do anything at school except watch tv. Even on our lunch break, I remember going into Mr. Clagues choir room and listening to the radio. It really was the day the world stood still. It united people. It's sad it takes such a tragedy to do that - but it really did unite this country for a long time.

I know for me personally it made me want to get into politics. I could have cared less about anything political until September 11th. I will never forget Ms. Tierney trying to explain to our class why this happened, who they suspected and the history behind it. I just sat there and said why? It made me want to get into politics. I know we were attacked for more religious reasoning's than political - but politics and religion as much as people hate to admit it really do go hand in hand. They mesh, they blur between the lines ...

September 11th, 2001 - a day my generation and many more will never forget.

Thanks For Your Support

I started looking at magazines for wedding dress ideas today.  I want a dress that has straps (I hate strapless) but maybe spaghetti straps will do ... I don't want a puffy dress.  I don't mind long but I DO NOT want puffy!  I want a slender dress, elegant.  Ya know?  No puff!  Lol!  I think for the brides maid dresses I want pink and purple.  Not so much a solid color.  I know most brides maids dresses are a solid color but I think I want a mix of the two.  Ya know?  Did you know they have a WHOLE book on wedding cakes at Hastings?  Ahhh!  Lol!  I don't need no big fancy wedding cake.  I just need a cake.  Lol!  As for flowers - well I haven't even looked at them.  But yeah - I've never looked at a wedding magazine before and Hastings has like 10 of them.  I only got through 2.  Lol!  I have to find a dress that speaks to me.  So when I look at it - I know that's the dress I'm getting married in.  I don't want to spend an over obsessive amount on a dress I'm going to wear once in my life, but it is my wedding dress and it is a once in a lifetime thing so maybe you have to spend a little bit of money.  : )

Anyway went to Monday Night LGBT Coffee with the gang at Hastings tonight.  Ronny has a boyfriend, Alex.  Oooo!  I'm happy for him!!  He's finally a guy in Ronny's age range! FINALLY!  Lol!  Jason came and told us all about his trip to Florida for his surgery and his trip to Georgia for his trans convention.  I WANNA GO!  I wanna go to a transgender convention!!  I may not be trans but I'm sure it'd be a very educational trip.

My bumper stickers came today!  I'm all excited!!  I ganna get my car cleaned after work tomorrow and then Chars ganna help me rearrange the stickers on me car.  I got a SaCor Foundation bumper sticker and a "I Love Someone With HIV" sticker!  Hehe!

Anyway today was a good day!

I woke up today with this philosophy on life and that is that life is far too short to sit here and worry about the what ifs.  So just be happy - smile for no reason, fall in love and live in the moment!  Enjoy life!  Because it's about those small moments of pure happiness that when you're laying on your death bed you're going to think of.  It's not going to matter how many cars you owned or where you got your college education from - if you even did.  What's going to matter is that you lived your life, you fell in love, you took risks and you smiled.  THAT is what will matter.

I love you all and thank you to EACH AND EVERY one of you for your support and best wishes in my engagement to Cory Michael Hall!
